"THE ONLY THING MORE EXPENSIVE THAN EDUCATION IS IGNORANCE" - Ben Franklin I love this phrase and have been saying this for a long time! When you really think about it, in totality, you too will understand the phrase, Ignorance is Expensive. Let's take a simple contract. Very easy for either party to opt out in writing. Without that written expression of looking to opt out, the original terms keep on until notice is given. A person hires a company to perform some tasks. They've had a conversation and it got heated, and the person who hired the company was so mad, they decided not to ever talk to them again. The company, being a business, simply kept sending the monthly invoices for services they were contracted to do, and because that simple opt out letter was NOT done or received, the person who hired the company now has accrued a re-occuring balance that could have been avoided! This could have been avoided by doing what was necessary and spelled out in the contract. It was ignored, so it became expensive! Going to a job interview and Not mapping out a route--- You're late. Cost you time and a potential new job. Not checking the rules on what you can or can not travel with-- Cost you the products you spent money on as they are thrown away. This phrase can be applied to so many areas of our lives. Just think of us as a community. If our community was more educated on issues pertaining to our well being; our mental, physical and spiritual health, we would be making better decisions that ultimately create a better life for ourselves. Because of ignorance, we are losing an uphill battle at our communities expense. I encourage everyone to ponder this phrase, and see where it can be applied. Please take time to educate yourself on a wide range of issues and subjects so that you can be armed with the knowledge that will make things less expensive for you! #TURNONTHELIGHTS
