With Labor Day on the way, marking the unofficial end of summer, it is on my heart to write about seasons.
Seasons are so important for the continuation of life. When fall comes, trees become bare so that the branches can be pruned in anticipation for the new growth come Spring. If trees are not pruned in the Fall/Winter, the potential growth for the Spring is directly effected by not removing the old and dead. Some people and situations come in your life for only a season. It is important to recognize the season, the reason, and the mark of the end of it. If we do not "prune" these situations in our "fall", then we can not expect as much growth as we can get in the spring. There will be darkness, but light comes in the morning. There is no one who goes to bed thinking that the sun may not rise in the east. It is a promise. The knowing that GOD has something better for you, yet the pruning must take place, is the same faith that we must have knowing the sun will rise. Even if we do not. God wants us to have that same faith as we do everyday letting the sun go for the night knowing it will shine in the morning. What's so awesome to know, is that the sun never ceases to shine, only moves out of our view for a night. This is how our blessings are set up. Have you seen the picture of the little girl holding a teddy bear, and Jesus has a bigger one behind his back for her, if only she would give up the one she has? We become so attached to the fruit that comes from a season, we don't realize that that fruit has a shelf life and will expire and spoil if we keep it too long. Solid faith in God is what is needed as we transition from one season to the next. It may seem dark at times, but GOD will make it light in the morning! If you are reading this, I hope you have a fantastic day full of faith! TURN ON THE LIGHTS
